Learn How to Meditate with Guided Meditations
The Power of Meditation
Meditation is one of the most underutilized tools in modern history. It has been around for many millenarian and used by people great and small to give them direction and purpose in life. Wikipedia defines meditation as:
A holistic discipline during which time the practitioner trains his or her mind in order to realize some benefit. It is generally a subjective, personal experience and most often done without any external involvement, except perhaps prayer beads to count prayers. Meditation often involves invoking and cultivating a feeling or internal state, such as compassion, or focusing upon a focal point. The term can refer to the process of reaching this state, as well as to the state itself.
It is basically getting your conscious mind quiet so you can hear the divine within and get the inspiration and creativity to move away from what you don't want at any one time, to that which you truly desire.
Meditation Techniques
There is a free guided meditation included at the end of this page that you can use to follow along and learn how to meditate quickly and easily. Or you can make use of the latest technology and enter a deep meditative state quickly by downloading brainwave entrainment audio . Healing Meditations and Meditations for Money are some of the most common uses of meditation in the western world. Meditation is more of a spiritual practice in eastern countries used to achieve enlightenment, realize their past lives, and perform a lot of self work to align themselves with God or the creative source. Advanced students in the west have also sought the wisdom of the eastern methods and it is a growing discipline that helps us all become better students of life.
Let's look at some of the benefits you can experience for yourself when you learn how to meditate:
- Experience Happiness and Bliss (relieves anxiety and depression too)
- Releases the reaction to Stress in the body (you may even be under stress – like extreme cold temperatures – and learn to not react to it, and be immune from any negative effects!)
- Enhances your Immune System
- Produces beneficial hormones (like growth hormone, while inhibiting the ones that break down our bodies and age us quickly)
- Solve Problems and Challenges by discovering the source of the disturbance and transcending it.
- Get answers to relationship issues (romantic, marriage, social, family or business)
- Heal your entire body (it enhances the mind body connection and can even lead to spontaneous remission of “incurable” diseases.
- Discover how to achieve your desires and goals
- Achieve athletic goals (many Olympic athletes actively use meditation, visualization and rehearsal to win their events)
- Ace your exams (release pre-exam stress and have greater access to your subconscious mind where the answers are stored in your mind.)
- Attract what you want into your life (being open and transmitting a focused signal while you are actively connected to “the field” which happens during meditation (the alpha brainwave state).
- Discover past lives and the meaning of synchronicities and Deja Vu
- Discover Yourself and reclaim your power
- Experience Pure Love, Gratitude and Compassion (the highest vibrations we can send or receive – and the key to ascension and exiting the cycle of birth, death and rebirth).
These are only a few of the benefits that you can experience. It does take time, and you can start anytime. You will always be able to take it with you too. This is unlike anything else in that it goes wherever you go, it is completely free. And it leads to true freedom at all levels. Since it works at the subconscious level it can't be taken away even if you experience a brain injury, your subconscious mind will go into active meditative states if you practice it regularly.

The following is a guided meditation that will get you used to the changes you will feel in your body as you go through the meditative process. You can do it with your eyes open or closed and be seated, lying down, standing against a wall, just don't do it while driving because you conscious mind steps aside and can allow deep beneficial changes to take place in your body. You may experience an altered state of consciousness, and therefore not be fully awake and alert. You will be in your most natural state instead. Eckhart Tolle is a master teacher of meditation and bestselling author of the “Power of Now” and “A New Earth.” Listen to this simple meditation and you'll begin to see some of the power of now and of meditation:
You can meditate with your eyes open or closed, and if you are just starting it is usually best to begin with your eyes softly closed so you are not distracted by visual stimulus. Loosen any tight clothing and take your shoes off if you can. Also, when you are just beginning you may find it easiest to focus on the object of your meditation by using silence or voice free music in the background. A candle (I recommend a 100% Beeswax candle because of the natural high vibration it emits) or form of aromatherapy oils (with a diffuser or electronic nebulizer) are all highly recommended, especially for beginners needing to get in the right mood and frame of mind to meditate successfully.
Using a Guided Meditation
This meditation is titled “I Love Myself” and it was written by Bee (Gloria Magdalena Almanza) an experienced mediator and positive change facilitator. This meditation was chosen because to love anyone else you must first love yourself. It all starts with you!
I LOVE MYSELF
Meditation By Bee
Allow your body to get into a comfortable position.
As you sit, allow your arms to be open, palms facing up and open in receiving mode.
Close your eyes.
Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth
Breathe in through your nose
Hold your breath for a second and then through your nose slowly release it
Repeat this consciously. As you breathe in, feel the new air cleansing your body and as you breathe out, feel the old air leaving your body. Allow your breath to heal you, and heal all the pain and wounds in your physical, mental and spiritual body. Breathe.
As you breathe in tighten the muscles in your feet and as you breathe out release…… calves…… thighs, stomach & lower back, chest, neck, face, forehead.
Clear your mind.
See yourself seated in a comfortable chair.
In front over you there is a beautiful mirror. What does the mirror look like?
Look into the mirror, look at yourself.
Look into your eyes. Tell yourself
I love myself
I love my life
I love my body
My body is self healing
My body is in perfect balance
I love my work
I love those who are close to me
I love my home
I am grateful for all that I have
I love and forgive those who hurt me
I love and forgive myself
I love nature and am grateful for her beauty
The same beauty I see within myself
I love all creatures big and small
I feel and appreciate all the love that surrounds me
Look into your eyes as you say this to yourself.
Feel the gratitude within your heart
Feel your self confidence and deep self love
Feel the passion in your heart as you say this.
Know that you have everything you ever wanted
See yourself as what you want but in the here now present
Breathe
Continue to look into your eyes. See yourself say to yourself:
I love myself
I love my life
I love my body
My body is self healing
My body is in perfect balance
I love my work
I love those who are close to me
I love my home
I am grateful for all that I have
I love and forgive those who hurt me
I love and forgive myself
I love nature and am grateful for her beauty
The same beauty I see within myself
I love all creatures big and small
I feel and appreciate all the love that surrounds me
Feel the love inside your heart grow
Watch this love radiate strongly around you
Visualize this as a strong healing light surround you. What color is this light? Where in your body is it shining the most?
Breathe.
Look into your eyes and breathe
I love myself
I love my life
I love my body
My body is self healing
My body is in perfect balance
I love my work
I love those who are close to me
I love my home
I am grateful for all that I have
I love and forgive those who hurt me
I love and forgive myself
I love nature and am grateful for her beauty
The same beauty I see within myself
I love all creatures big and small
I feel and appreciate all the love that surrounds me
BREATHE
Feel grateful.
Visualize the mirror again in front of you. See yourself radiating in love. Kiss yourself goodbye.
Watch the mirror float away from you.
See yourself slowly get up from your visual chair. Feel yourself get ready to come back into your body. As you come back into your physical space, Feel your toes and wiggle them.
Wiggle your fingers. Feel yourself coming back into your body.
Breathe.
When you are ready, slowly open your eyes.
Namaste (may my inner being honor your inner being in love)
If you have found this meditation useful please use it and share it with others. We can all make this world a better place by sharing what we find beneficial. If you are having any trouble getting into the meditative altered state, then I would highly recommend that you find some alpha or theta level meditation entrainment music or software and use it to teach your body and mind how to open and experience this state of being. It really works like magic when nothing else will.
I initially had trouble meditating because I did not know what to expect and couldn't quiet my mind enough. So, I got some binaural beat music (where different brainwave frequencies are played into each ear producing the third frequency that your brain entrains to. This is typically the alpha or theta state, the same ones achieved by Tibetan and Zen monks when they are in deep meditation.) It really works! You can find a wide variety of binaural (to be used with headphones) and isochronic (no headphones needed) beats for meditation and healing here: brainwave entrainment audio.
The Scientific Way to Meditate
There is a way to know for sure if you're really meditating properly, and that's by using bio feedback, which you hook up to your computer and it will show you when you are really in the meditative zone, and how to achieve your goals when you reach this state. Watch the following short video for a live demonstration:
